A hot air balloon carrying at least 16 people reportedly caught fire and crashed in central Texas late Saturday morning.
The
balloon crashed near Lockhart, Texas, about 30 miles south of Austin. A
woman at the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office told Newsy that police
don't believe anyone survived the crash.
Reports say the balloon caught fire mid-flight and crashed in a field.
Local stations from Austin arrived at the scene late morning to find police blocking roads leading to the crash site.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
