There is much excitement in the air ahead of this year's "Venice Film Festival":http://www.labiennale.org/en/cinema/ which is once again being seen as the launch pad for the industry's award season.
Despite the tight security, hopes are high for a well attended event with Hollywood having been wooed back. The last two best-picture Oscar-winners have premiered at Venice and they are hoping to make it a hat-rick with the festival opener, the musical "La La Land".
