Korea's current account surplus hit a record-high in June,... extending its surplus streak for a fifty-second straight month.
The Bank of Korea said the surplus in June reached a nearly twelve-point-two billion U.S. dollars, with the help of a surplus in the goods balance.
The previous monthly record was nearly eleven-point-nine billion in June 2015.
The surplus in the products account came to twelve-point-eight billion dollars, up from a ten-point-seven billion surplus in the previous month.
Exports increased six-point-six percent from May, while imports increased by two-point-three percent.
The deficit in the service sector rose from one-point-one billion dollars in May to nearly one-point-four billion
