Toby
Hall, chief executive of Minds + Machines Group Ltd (LON:MMX), says it
remains committed to Asia while also focussing on Europe and the United
States.
The company owns 25 top level internet domains (TLD) including .yoga, .vip, .boston and .miami. and .london. Hall says the.vip asset was the most successful new TLD ever launched in its first month with a lot of growth coming from Asia and in particular China. That success, the boss says, is “allowing us to engage in conversations about which other of our assets may be relevant for that market, and we’re pleased with the progress we’re having with those discussions.”
Europe is now the target audience while preparation is underway for when the US adopts domains other than .com, .net and .org. “New TLD’s are a market of meaningful opportunity so we do see the US coming on online and are preparing ourselves to be part of that.”
