Amnesty International has released a new report detailing the treatment of Syria's prisoners.
The rights group estimates that almost 18,000 people have died in custody in Syria since the start of the war in 2011.
Speaking
to Al Jazeera, Nicolette Boehland of Amnesty International, said the
scale of abuse by the Syrian government is unprecedented.
