The
UN has called for an urgent humanitarian pause in fighting in Aleppo in
order to deliver aid and to repair damaged electricity and water
networks. Over the weekend rebel fighters as well as some jihadist
militants were able to break through government-held areas in the south
of the city.
BBC News spoke to local councillor Muhammad, who is currently in the eastern part of the city, that's been under siege.
