British
pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline was hitting the headlines for all
the wrong reasons two years ago. The business in China was found guilty
of bribing doctors to promote its drugs. GSK was fined and several of
its staff jailed. The company now claims to have done more than any
other to improve compliance.
Next year, GSK chief executive Andrew
Witty will retire and he says between now and then making medicines
affordable in poorer countries is one of his top priorities.
He also discussed the impact of Brexit and his pay package with the BBC's Sharanjit Leyl.
