There
has been mortar fire over the town of Shyrokyne over the past 24 hours.
Despite the cease-fire, militants in Donbas have been shelling more
than 20 times overnight. They fired Avdiivka industrial zone with
machine guns and grenade launchers. Russian-backed forces shelled with
mortars in the area of Talakivka and Shyrokyne.
In the village of
Bezhynove, which is located close to the withdrawal line, the Ukrainian
military discovered a storage of weapons, which included TNT, anti-tank
mines, grenades, and munitions of different calibre, including
armour-piercing and sniper rounds.
As Ukrainian soldiers say, the arms were produced in Russia and designated for Russian subversive forces.
Even
with the truce officially in place, the past day brought more losses
for the Ukrainian army. One soldier was killed in a mine blast, and
three more wounded by militant mortar fire.
