The U.S. International Trade Commission has finalized hefty antidumping and countervailing duties on South Korean steel imports.
The decision comes a matter of weeks after the U.S. Commerce Department said it wanted to impose an almost 65 percent duty on certain steel products from POSCO and 38 percent of duties on imports from Hyundai Steel.
It said the products were sold in the U.S. at less than fair value and were subsidized by the South Korean government.
In a statement,... the commission said the imports were damaging the U.S. steel industry.
