Chinese tourists are spending record amounts of money on trips inside and outside of the country.
New data from China's state-run media shows almost 600 million Chinese people have been on the move and have been spending tens of billions of dollars during the country's week-long National Day holiday, a peak season for domestic and international tourism.

New data from China's state-run media shows almost 600 million Chinese people have been on the move and have been spending tens of billions of dollars during the country's week-long National Day holiday, a peak season for domestic and international tourism.
That's an increase of almost 13 percent from last year... as this year's holiday is a day longer than 2015.
It also shows tourist spending during the holiday is up more than 14 percent compared to the same period last year.
A record one-point-four million Chinese traveled abroad over the holiday with most coming to Korea,.. followed by Japan and Russia.
