At least one person has been killed and three more injured following multiple blasts in a Japanese City.
Local media showed images of two burnt-out cars in the city of Utsunomiya after the explosions took place at around 11.30am local time (2.30am UK time).
It is not yet known what caused the near-simultaneous blasts in the capital of Tochigi Prefecture, around 60 miles north of Tokyo.
The explosions broke out near a festival celebrating traditional culture taking place in a popular park.

A man who was in the park at the time told Tokyo-based broadcaster NHK World he heard "a big sound" and smelled gunpowder.

The blast broke out near a festival at Utsunomiya Castle Park
Pictures posted on Twitter appear to show a thick plume of black smoke rising from the area.
The festival has been cancelled and police have sealed off the area around the explosions.
A fire department spokesman said an investigation is underway to determine what caused the blasts.
