Foreign investors are continuing to snap up Korean shares in a buying spree that's lasted for four straight months.
Overseas investors bought one-point-six trillion won worth of Korean shares, or one-point-four billion U.S. dollars, in September.
Korea's Financial Supervisory Service says that as the end of last month, foreign investors owned over 420 billion dollars worth of listed shares,… close to the record high of over 423 billion dollars set April last year.
Foreign investment accounted for 30-and-a-half percent of the aggregate value of listed stock, logging the same amount as in August.
