Danish
biotech firm Unibio has completed an important milestone to its
market-leading U-Loop technology and protein process to improve the
efficiency in the production of its proprietary single cell protein,
UniProtein.
Chief Executive Henrik Busch-Larsen tells Proactive: ''We can now get a lot of gas into liquid and we can do it using a minimal amount of power. So basically what we can do is make it very feasible to produce protein based on methane.”
“This positions Unibio to commence large scale commercial production before the end of the year, making it the first company to do so using this state-of-the-art technology.”
Busch-Larsen added: “We are confident of continuing on our growth trajectory and delivering the most sustainable, environmentally friendly product for use in the animal feed market.”
