Premier African Minerals Ltd (LON:PREM) chief executive George Roach tells
Proactive Investors that installing new X-Ray sorting equipment will
“add a new dimension” to its RHA tungsten mine in Zimbabwe.
“[The new X-Ray sorting equipment] allows us to look at a significantly higher mining rate without having to make any significant changes at all to the plant,” Roach says.
“[The new X-Ray sorting equipment] allows us to look at a significantly higher mining rate without having to make any significant changes at all to the plant,” Roach says.
He confirms that he expects the mine to operate at a production of around 39,000 tonnes per month, with roughly 23,000 tonnes coming from the open pit and the remaining 16,000 tonnes from underground.
He does add that it might take “a couple of months” for the underground operations to hit that level.
Roach also says that the estimated output of 10,000 metric tonnes per month – and the subsequent US$1mln-plus monthly revenues – is “very encouraging and very much a new dimension for RHA”
Roach tells Proactive that Premier African is now focused on getting the XRT kit in place and ready for a November start date.
