France - Sarkozy knocked out of presidential nomination race

Former France president Nicolas Sarkozy has conceded defeat in the race to choose the conservative nominee for next year's presidential election.

Francois Fillon and Alain Juppe, both former prime ministers, defeated Sarkozy in early returns.
