Children
who managed to escape ISIL-held areas in and around the Iraqi city of
Mosul have told Al Jazeera they were forced to learn about weapons and
ammunition in schools under the armed group's control.
Ali, a
traumatised 12-year-old who is now living at an internally displaced
camp in Khazir, some 30km east of Mosul, said the armed group didn't
just deny him a proper education but also tried to brainwash him into a
life of violence.
Al Jazeera's Mohammed Jamjoom reports from the Hasan Sham camp in Khazir, east of Mosul.
