There's been a surge of people trying to cross the Mexican border, into the US, as the November 8 vote approaches.

Most are refugees from Central America, and many are unaccompanied children.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said he would build a wall at the border to prevent illegal crossings.

Al Jazeera's Heidi Zhou-Castro reports from the US-Mexico border.
