Samsung Electronics is set to reveal why a handful of its ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 smartphones overheated and in some cases... caught fire.
The Korean tech-giant will hold a press conference in Seoul in two hours time to explain what caused the model to catch fire... and how it will strengthen its safety measures.
Officials from Samsung as well as Underwriters Laboratories who participated in the probe will be present.
The exact details will be laid out soon,... but it's believed Samsung will blame the phone's battery not the internal structure of the model or the software.
Samsung Electronics announced last October that it would discontinue the Note 7 after some recalled models also caught fire.
