Philippine
President Rodrigo Duterte has said he will carry out daily executions
of criminals once the death penalty is restored.
Duterte, who
promised to be tough on crime during his election campaign, says he
believes capital punishment failed to deter crime in the past because
very few executions were actually carried out.
Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports from Manila.
