Eight
days before his inauguration, Donald Trump staged his first press
conference since July. The president-elect was grilled by on his
potential conflicts of interests regarding his business ties, his
friendliness towards Vladimir Putin, and his tax returns. Could these
criticisms be grounds for impeachment on Day One? And with Trump hitting
back hard at reporters and singling out “failing news organisations”,
how will the press cover a President who undermines them to such an
extent?
