After
months of delays, Somalia is holding a presidential election. On
Wednesday, more than 300 MPs and senators will choose a president from
22 candidates, including incumbent Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. For many
observers, holding this poll is a victory in itself; a sign that
Somalia, despite being regularly targeted by al Shabaab terrorists and
threatened by famine, is gradually getting back on its feet. Our team
reports from Mogadishu, where security has been stepped up considerably.
