Donald Trump to arm Kurdish fighters in Syria
US President Donald Trump has authorised the arming of Kurdish fighters in Syria.
He said it is "necessary to ensure a clear victory" in a planned assault on Raqqa, the self-declared capital of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group.
