Portugal’s
battle against forest fire continues with concentration on the
country’s northern regions days after the blaze erupted in the Pedrogao
Grande region and spread on many fronts.
At least 26,000 hectars of land has already been burnt and 64 people have been killed.
Residents are angry at the lack of planning for this type of disaster and why the national plan to combat forest fires had not been reviewed in years.
Al Jazeera's Catherine Stancl reports from Almegue in central Portugal.
