Albania's Socialists take full control of parliament for first time since communism's fall
Albania’s
ruling Socialist party has won general elections with an outright
majority, allowing it to form a government without coalition partners.
It is the country's first election since the fall of communism to grant a single party full power in parliament.
But a lot of work still needs to be done before the party can deliver on promises to become part of the European Union.
Al Jazeera's John Psaropoulos reports from Tirana.
