than 10,000 Iraqis have been forced from their homes because of
fighting between government forces and ISIL in Mosul over the past two
days.
Iraqi forces have been trying to push the group from the western area of the city since February.
Mosul is densely populated and thousands of civilians are stuck on the frontline of the battle. Those who have tried to flee have been injured in the crossfire.
