The
OECD expects South Korea's economy to grow two-point-six percent in
2017, unchanged from its previous outlook released in November last
year.
However, the Paris-based international organization lowered the country's growth forecast for 2018 to two-point-eight percent from its earlier forecast of three percent.
In its biannual report released on Wednesday, the OECD said it expects South Korea to experience modest growth on the back of recovering exports, owing to increased global trade.
However, it noted that heightened geopolitical tensions and rising household debt, could present downside risks for Asia's fourth-largest economy.
