US attorney general to testify in Trump-Russia probe
The United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he will testify publicly to the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its investigation into Trump camp’s campaign ties to Russia.
Sessions is expected to face severe questioning about his own contact with Russian officials.
In March, he stepped away from his role overseeing an FBI investigation into Russian attempts to influence the 2016 presidential election when it emerged he failed to disclose earlier meetings with the Moscow's ambassador to the US.
