We take a quick look at the 2019 front wing designs from Williams, Force India and Red Bull. All teams have been testing a simplified front wing design to help aid overtaking and stop aggressive “outwash” which disturbs air for following cars, thus making overtaking harder.
This dramatic reduction in winglets and extra bodywork makes for a much cleaner front wing, which has been widened to help compensate for loss of downforce. Teams have been testing intensely to work out the new aero properties of this new design.
