According to market researcher CEO Score, the country's third-largest oil refiner S-Oil posted the highest operating income to sales ratio of 14-point-nine percent …among Korea's top 30 conglomerates.
The refiner logged an operating income of one billion U.S. dollars in the first half of the year, …up 34 percent from the previous year.
Its operating income to sales ratio rose six percentage points over the cited period.
Korea's top refiner SK Innovation came in fourth with nine-point-four percent, followed by GS Caltex with nine-point-three percent.
Combined, Korea's top 30 groups suffered a three-point-three percent on-year decline in first-half sales, while posting a nine-point-seven percent rise in operating income.
