Ray
Gibbs, chief executive of Haydale Graphene Industries PLC (LON:HAYD),
says the acquisition of ACMC is the “final piece of the jigsaw for our
geographic expansion.”
With a presence now in the US, UK, Germany and South East Asia, Haydale is gathering momentum in its evolution from research and development into a composite materials sales pipeline.
The US is a ‘massive, massive market’ for Haydale and Gibbs quantifies just how big. “We estimate it’s probably worth about 40% of the marketplace for us today.” It’s all about synergy and already there’s been one announced cross-selling opportunity with a Korean company for their silicon carbide scratch resistant teflon coating.
The deal has been funded by a successful £2.1mln placing with existing shareholders and an open offer for retail investors.
