On
Friday, September 9, investors await quarterly results from The Kroger
Company and a host of speeches from Federal Reserve officials. Before
the markets open, analysts expect Kroger to post earnings of $0.45 a
share on sales of $26.79 billion. During the same quarter a year ago,
the company posted profit of $0.44 a share with revenue of $25.54
billion. At 7:45 a.m. EDT Boston Federal Reserve Bank President Eric
Rosengren delivers a speech on the economy in Massachusetts. At 9:30
a.m. Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Rob Kaplan speaks in Austin,
Texas. Investors also await the weekly Baker-Hughes BHI Rig Count,
released at 1 p.m. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
