While
Syria burns and Libya teeters, civilians are bearing the brunt of
another Arab world civil war. The rest of the planet appeared largely
indifferent to the plight of Yemen until two events: Saturday’s
Saudi-led air strike against a funeral wake in the capital that left 140
dead, and now the US retaliating against the targeting of its navy with
strikes of its own against suspected bases of Houthi militias. How to
reconcile Yemenis and get regional powers to take their rivalry
elsewhere? Produced by Charles WENTE, François WIBAUX and Christopher DAVIS.
