Iraqi
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has announced the start of a major
offensive to retake the city of Mosul from the Islamic State of Iraq and
the Levant (ISIL).
The biggest challenge for the coalition of
forces fighting ISIL - will be to secure more than a million civilians
still inside Mosul.
Al Jazeera's Osama bin Javaid reports.
