Nestled
in the eastern Alps, some 60% of Austria's countryside is mountainous
and almost 90% of farms are found along its slopes. This leads to
natural and specific constraints for farmers. The latest Common
Agricultural Policy has provisions for people trying to exploit such
difficult terrain. FRANCE 24 looks at how effective those funds are in
keeping the hills alive with the sound of farmers.
