Last
November, France was hit by the worst terror attacks in its modern
history, which left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded. Afterwards,
President Hollande declared: "We must be merciless with French citizens
who murder other French citizens". But has the security response brought
us any closer to a long-term solution? We put this question to one of
France's most distinguished experts on jihad, the sociologist Farhad
Khosrokhavar, who has just published a book entitled "Prisons of
France".
