A massive tornado and heavy rain struck central Italy on Sunday.

Amateur video filmed in Osteria Nuova, north of Rome, shows what appears to be a large lightning strike on the horizon as the tornado struck.

The extreme weather killed two people on Sunday between Ladispoli and Cesano, two towns north of Rome and close to Osteria Nuova, Italian media reported.
