Whoever wins the US presidential race will have to deal with the increasingly volatile Middle East.
Iraq,
Syria and Libya are in the headlines, but the long running issue of the
Israeli occupation of Palestinian land is at the root of many of the
problems.
Israel has mixed feelings about the next American
leader, but the Palestinians say the outcome will make no difference to
their battle for statehood.
Al Jazeera’s Tony Birtley reports from the occupied West Bank.
