While
the battle for Mosul rages on in Iraq, Kurdish-led Syrian forces are
carrying out an offensive to liberate the Islamic State group's de facto
capital of Raqqa in northern Syria. The United States, France and
Britain say they will provide air support, but it's still unclear
exactly how they plan to oust the militants from the city. Is it a wise
move to begin a campaign in Raqqa when the campaign against Mosul is
barely underway?
