Ireland
is the only EU country that share a physical border with the United
Kingdom. Many observers are now looking at how Ireland will position
itself in a post-Brexit EU. Charles Flanagan, the Irish foreign
minister, tells FRANCE 24 that his country remains "firmly committed" to
the European project. Regarding the invisible frontier between Ireland
and the Republic of Ireland, he says "it is absolutely essential that
the invisible nature of that border is fully respected and fully
maintained".
