The
1990s had the siege of Sarajevo. Today we have the fall of Aleppo. The
end seems near for rebels with civilians now fleeing by the thousands.
With virtually no independent journalists around, we're left with
competing claims of ethnic cleansing by Assad's victorious forces and
residents of East Aleppo held hostage by radical fighters. There are
reasons to fear both may be right.
