Dr
Arnab Basu, chief executive of radiation detection specialist Kromek Gorup, looks at the group's potential in the light of Donald Trump's
election as US president and the country's aims to protect cities and
urban areas against nuclear attack.
The tech firm has been working already with DARPA - an agency of the US Department of Defence - for the last two years develping a mobile phone-sized radiation detector.
This, says Basu, can be "used in a distributed manner forming a network of detectors, which sends a real time signal back to a central commandment control centre for you to look at a heatmap of radiation".
