Dozens of ISIL members, who were captured by the Syrian Democratic Forces - an alliance of rebel groups - during an offensive to remove ISIL from its stronghold of Raqqa, have been given amnesty in a goodwill gesture.

The pardon comes on the eve of the Muslim festival of Eid-al-Fitr.

Al Jazeera's Natasha Ghoneim reports from bordering Turkish city of Gaziantep.
