Monza is Formula One history with the Milan track hosting all but one Italian Grand Prix, and it was a bolt from the blue - with Pierre Gasly rocketing to his fairytale maiden win there, a dozen years after Sebastian Vettel broke the drought for Red Bull’s B-team, now AlphaTauri.
Gasly, the first French driver to win since Olivier Panis at Monaco in 1996, was just four tenths ahead of McLaren’s Carlos Sainz at the flag, with the Spaniard breathing down his neck for a thrilling run to the line. Watch the video
