Locals in the Colombian town of Necocli say they are being pushed out of the housing market as landlords prefer to rent to Haitian asylum seekers able to pay in dollars.
The asylum seekers flooding in are trying to reach the United States.
Some 22,000 people are waiting for boats to take them to Panama where they can continue their journey.
