China's
economy grew 6.7% in third quarter, in-line with previous quarters in
2016 and economists' expectations. "I think this is largely another
'breathe a sigh of relief' quarter for the Chinese economy," said Jasper
Lawler, a market analyst at CMC Markets in London. "The yuan is trading
at its lowest level all year - the last thing we need is a repeat of
the way we started 2016 with fears over the Chinese economy and another
bout of currency devaluation - that doesn't look like its in the cards."
China's economy grew 6.9% in 2015. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from
Wall Street.
