At least 24 people have reportedly been killed and several others hurt by a massive forest fire in central Portugal.
Around 400 firefighters are battling the blaze in the mountainous Pedrogão Grande region, some 200km southeast of Lisbon.
According to initial reports, it appears most of the victims were trapped in their cars and were burned alive or suffocated. At least two people are missing.
