A BBC investigation has gathered evidence of the repeated use of in the city of cluster munitions in Chernihiv northern Ukraine.
These weapons, rockets or missiles - which deploy a large number of small explosives - are banned by more than 100 countries because of the harm they cause civilians.
But neither Russia nor Ukraine have signed up to the international treaty prohibiting them.

Amnesty International has condemned Russia’s reported use of cluster munitions in Ukraine, saying an attack on a pre-school “may constitute a war crime”. The human rights charity said “a 220mm Uragan rocket dropped cluster munitions on the Sonechko nursery and kindergarten in the town of Okhtyrka in Sumy Oblast” on Friday.
