Published on 6 March 2019

Renault only has two teams on the Formula 1 grid in 2019, supplying McLaren alongside its own works effort. Is that a chance for it to develop away from the spotlight now it doesn't have to keep Red Bull happy? Scott Mitchell and Ben Anderson join Glenn Freeman to discuss the confident claims being made by the French manufacturer, and they explain why Renault's recent history makes it hard to get too excited about how it will compare to Mercedes, Ferrari and Honda. They also disagree on whether being outside of the championship fight this year makes Renault irrelevant in the 2019 storyline.
