An
explosion claimed by the militant Islamic State group has ripped
through a Muslim shrine in southwestern Pakistan, killing more than 40
people and wounding scores of others.
A local government official said the blast at the Shar Hoorani shrine in Baluchistan province happened while hundreds of people were inside.
The government sent over two dozen ambulances from a nearby town, while many of the injured have been taken to Karachi about 100 kilometres away.
