The price of oil has dipped sharply from more than 90 U.S. dollars per barrel in 2014 to 40-some dollars this year.
Which is why on November 30, OPEC countries vowed to cut production by 1-point-2 million barrels per day.
And now 11 other non-OPEC nations are joining in.
According to the organization's president Mohammed bin Saleh al-Sada on Saturday, the non-member countries will cut production by some 550-thousand barrels per day, a move that will provide much-needed support in efforts to stabilize the market and encourage industry investment.
Those countries include Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brunei, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, and Oman, with Russia is making the bulk of the cuts... of up to 300-thousand barrels a day.
